Terminally Ill L.I. Boy Gets Special Holiday Gift

ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) — An 18-month-old Long Island boy with a deadly illness is going on a very special trip this holiday season.

Little John “Buddy” Abrams has terminal brain cancer and cannot get on a plane because of the cabin pressure, 1010 WINS’ Carol D’Auria reported.

Robert Jesberger, owner of Mid Island Collision in Rockville Centre, donated a luxury van that has been converted into an RV and is sending Buddy and his family on an all-expense paid trip to Disney World.

“You push a button and the beds all flop out, it’s got a full blown kitchen, bathrooms, captain chairs,” Jesberger said.

The boy’s mother, Wendy Abrams, said she’s overwhelmed by Jesberger’s generosity.
